Arsenal women hit with goalkeeping crisis ahead of Liverpool
Arsenal Women are facing something of a goalkeeping crisis ahead of Saturday’s home game against Liverpool, with both Manuela Zinsberger and Daphne van Domselaar ruled out through injury.
Zinsberger remains sidelined as she continues her recovery from ACL surgery, while Van Domselaar will now miss the visit of Liverpool with a tight quad tendon that is not expected to ease before the Christmas break.
With the first-choice pairing unavailable, summer signing Anneke Borbe is set to step in, with 17-year-old Amy Liddiard expected to provide cover from the bench.

15:47 agoThe absence of both senior goalkeepers comes at a demanding point in the season. Saturday’s league meeting with bottom-of-the-table Liverpool is followed by a home Champions League fixture against FC Twente, a WSL trip to Everton, an away match against OH Leuven and a Subway Cup quarter final away at Crystal Palace in the next two weeks.
Arsenal will also be without Chloe Kelly, who is sidelined after picking up a knee injury on international duty. Kelly is also not expected to return before Christmas.
